Our founder

We’re in the ‘70s. And instead of being (un)satisfied with conventional cosmetics, Thomas Haase devoted himself to learning about natural active ingredients and devoured old specialist literature on the topic of cosmetics. He quickly found natural cosmetics to be an alternative for his skin requirements. And so, he set to work on his vision to develop natural cosmetics that meet the highest standards.

Within a short time – but with the highest standard of organic ingredients and effectiveness – his first product came to life: lip balm. It is the foundation of the lavera brand and is constantly impressing more and more people, even abroad, and can still be found in our range to this day.

A success story for the region as well

Since being founded in 1987, we have produced almost all of our products here in the Hanover region – and that won’t be changing. This enables us to guarantee that our natural cosmetics achieve the highest quality, contribute effectively to the conservation of natural resources and maintain respect for people and nature in everything we do.
