The healing plant
In natural medicine, the camomile is one of the most commonly used medicinal plants with a history dating back thousands of years. Camomile belongs to the daisy family and grows in Europe, Africa and America on fallow land, at roadsides, and in grain fields. It is a fairly undemanding plant that can grow to a maximum height of 60 cm, and flowers from May to June. Who doesn’t recognise the intense scent of camomile? Its famous sweetly aromatic aroma originates in its flowers as well as its leaves and stem.
